Q: Can anyone become a pentester on Cobalt?

A: In order to join the Cobalt Core, a pentester can apply and hereafter undergo a strict vetting process. This process includes third-party government ID verification, social media account review, and a thorough interview over video conference call.

Q: Why do I need to register to be a pentester on Cobalt?

A: Registration is required for pentesters to participate and submit vulnerability reports to security programs on Cobalt. Anonymous testing is not allowed. Registering lets us know that you agree to our Terms and Conditions, and that you agree to respect the rules and policies set in our security programs.

Q: What is the Cobalt Core?

A: The Cobalt Core is a community of highly skilled pentesters who are passionate about what they do and who are always striving to be at the top of their game. This curated community is made up of security professionals with many years of experience as well as talented pentesters who are eager to learn the trade and show their skills. They all have a strong drive to keep up to date on the latest vulnerabilities and exploits, and the tools and methodologies to find them.
